This feature is designed to reduce friction for consumers who may not have access to their insurance login credentials, driving higher verification rates and a smoother experience for you and your users.
What is Policy Lookup?
Policy Lookup enables users to provide key pieces of insurance information—such as policy number, vehicle VIN, or other identifying details—so that Axle can retrieve and verify policy details on their behalf. By eliminating the need for credentials, Policy Lookup speeds up and simplifies the insurance verification process while maintaining access to verified, up-to-date insurance data.
Fewer hurdles to complete verification
Not everyone remembers or has access to their insurance account username or password. Policy Lookup lets users provide the information they do have on hand—like a policy number and VIN from their insurance id card or vehicle registration.
Boosted verification rates
By providing alternative verification options, more of your users can successfully share verified insurance data. This means higher confidence in policy status and coverage and fewer manual document uploads.
Seamless integration
Data shared through Policy Lookup conforms to Axle’s Policy specification and integrates seamlessly with Validation Engine and Policy Report—no changes needed.
